Dr. Jessica Zhai is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she earned both her Doctor of Optometry degree and Bachelor of Science degree. She was raised in Markham, Ontario, and her passion for eye care began at a young age, inspired by her own experience wearing glasses and contact lenses as a child.
Dr. Zhai has a special interest in myopia management and ocular disease. During her clinical training in Scarborough and Newmarket, she gained extensive experience diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye conditions, including eye infections, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and retinal detachments. She is also experienced in co-managing chronic eye diseases and providing post-operative care.
Dr. Zhai is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is happy to offer eye exams in both English and Mandarin, and is committed to providing each patient with a comfortable, thorough, and personalized experience. Outside the clinic, Dr. Zhai enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, and exploring new places through travel.
